Morantz's most popular trademark, available for license and use by your blind cleaning company.

Like everything else, blinds get dirty. When faced with the chore of cleaning blinds, most people do not know what to do. Conventional methods simply do not work. Hosing a blind down and scrubbing it in the bathtub is a time consuming, tedious process that is limited in results and can cause a tremendous amount of damage to the blind… not to mention a huge mess. Dusting only moves the dirt from side to side, creating static electricity in the process that ultimately attracts more dirt. Household cleansers can remove paint and stain blinds. Power washing and steam cleaning can ruin the blind surface.

Only ultrasonic cleaning can prevent scratching, pitting or damage to blinds. Only ultrasonic cleaning can clean the entire blind including the slats, cords, ladders, tapes and headrail. Only ultrasonic cleaning can clean all types of blinds including wood blinds, fabric blinds, aluminum blinds, plastic blinds and more.

Window Blind Cleaning

With the use of a van or trailer, machines can easily be transported to both residential and commercial sites. Or, take blinds down and transport them in your existing vehicle to your facility.

This can be as simple as working from your home garage or a small warehouse facility. The proper choice depends on the cleaning services you offer and how far you expand these services. The following are some common scenarios:

Option 1: The customer takes down their blinds and brings them to you. You clean the blinds at your facility and the customer picks them up.

Option 2: You go to the customer’s site, take down the blinds, clean the blinds at your facility, return and rehang.

Option 3: You go to the site, take down the blinds, clean on-site and rehang.

Profit Potential for Window Blind Cleaning

As long as there are window blinds, there is a market for blind cleaning. Consider restaurants and hospitals; these facilities are required by law to maintain certain sanitary standards. Most restaurants need to have their blinds cleaned 4 to 6 times per year. Hospitals and other commercial buildings need their blinds cleaned 1 to 2 times per year. Household blinds should be cleaned 1 to 2 times per year.

With an average cleaning price of $15 per blind (for standard, dusty mini-blinds), the profits add up.

Look at the chart below. You will see that at $15 per blind, you could work for only 2 hours per day for 5 days and earn $7500 per week—an average of $750 per hour. If you charge the same, but only clean 20 blinds a day, you would still average $300 per day and $1500 per week.

Price/Blind Blinds/Day Cleaning Time Per Day Per Week Per Month Per Year
$15 100 2 Hours $1500 $7500 $30,000 $360,000*
$15 20 1/2 Hour $300 $1500 $6000 $72,000

Even if you offered a 50% discount for a large, commercial job, you would still be averaging $750 per day which adds up to $180,000 per year*. With overhead costs at a minimum, this still provides a significant profit margin.
